    Hi ELsMystERy,

Sorry to hear that you want to deactivate the plugin. It is important to know that the plugin does not actively remove the Links menu on deactivation of the plugin.
WordPress has recently hidden the Links menu by default. The menu is now hidden if you have not added any links yourself in the past (when the menu was visible by default). What the Links Shortcode plugin does is enable the Links Menu, even if you have not added any links yourself. On deactivation of the plugin this functionality is also disabled, hence the disappearance of the Links menu.

    I hope this helps.

Ahhh. I was not aware of the hidden links menu thing. Makes sense, although I just can’t figure out what part of that feature Automattic thought was a good idea.
