Deactivate and Delete Plugin – Widget Remains

FYI – I tried installing this plugin, and ended up deleting it since it was not quite right for me.
Guess what? The widget REMAINS as an option to select as an available widget under Appearance > Widgets.
Anyone know how to get rid of it?
