    Hello,

    I am fairly new to WordPress (1 month in), and mysql both. I have a small web business (made of standard html sites), and I am almost finished with my first WordPress site for a customer. I've been installing oodles of plugins for the site, without any problems until now.

    Last night I did a memory upgrade, which failed. I am a previous tech, and I'm certain that the new chips were bad. However, through that, I had serious problems (blue screen error, boot sector errors). I had a scary night, but my pc is back up and running now (and the ram is going back).

    One of the last plugins that I installed just before my hardware problem, was the SEO Pack. Now when I try to get back into the wp admin login, I get these errors:
    -------------------
    WordPress database error: [Incorrect key file for table '.\wordpress\wp_options.MYI'; try to repair it]
    DELETE FROM wp_options WHERE option_name = 'rewrite_rules'

    Warning: Cannot modify header information - headers already sent by (output started at E:\xampp\htdocs\wordpress\wp-includes\wp-db.php:615) in E:\xampp\htdocs\wordpress\wp-login.php on line 302

    Warning: Cannot modify header information - headers already sent by (output started at E:\xampp\htdocs\wordpress\wp-includes\wp-db.php:615) in E:\xampp\htdocs\wordpress\wp-login.php on line 314

    -----------------

    Thus, I deleted the seo pack plugin from the plugins folder, but the error remains. So I thought to go into the MySql admin (of which my knowledge is limited), and I found this:
    -----
    Error
    SQL query: Edit
    SHOW FULL FIELDS FROM wp_options ;
    MySQL said: Documentation
    #145 - Table '.\wordpress\wp_options' is marked as crashed and should be repaired
    -----

    (Other info is:

    I am using WP 2.9.2, on Windows Vista. Apache/2.2.14 (Win32) DAV/2 mod_ssl/2.2.14 OpenSSL/0.9.8l mod_autoindex_color PHP/5.3.1 mod_apreq2-20090110/2.7.1 mod_perl/2.0.4 Perl/v5.10.1
    * MySQL client version: 5.1.41
    * PHP extension: mysqli)
    ------------

    I do have a backup copy of my site (but I would lose several days work if I overwrote the whole site). I'm impatient from the ram failure, and I don't want to start hacking into replacing individual files and hose it.

    I would greatly appreciate anyone's input on how I can fix this, and thank you so much in advance. (My php syntax knowledge is still very limited. If I need to edit a php file, then please explain what block or statement to edit and how.)

    have you tried the "repair" option on the wp_options table?
    check mark the table - scroll to bottom - choose "repair" from drop down

    Samboll,

    Thanks a million! That fixed it and I got right back into the wp admin. I didn't even think to look around further in the mysql admin (because I'm just not familiar with it, and maybe being up all night after my memory upgrade went south had something to do with it).

    Again, I really appreciate your help.

    Hello,

    I have the same problem djoseph05 stated here. But the main problem for me is that I wasn't doing anything and I got this problem. I have read here about it, but I still don't understand what I need to do, that it would be fixed... Can somebody of you explain me that?
