   Ive also just discovered that DB Backup no longer works after installing WordPress 3.3.

   When I click on the backup button it just displays my site!

   This new version just seems to be full of bugs and problems.

   How can I safely get my old installation back?

   I do not want to play around with plugins and themes. This only risks messing up my site and I cannot afford all the aggro and overhead in putting it right again. It was working fine before this "upgrade".

   This is a dangerous situation when you install a new version in good faith and then find you cant even do a backup when it is found to have problems!

   Yes I know I can do a backup by copying the directories on my server, independent of wordpress. Luckily that option is the only one that remains.

   I have deactivated and slowly reactivated my plugins. It appears that the problem is an incompatibility between version 3.3 and the WordPress Firewall 2 Version 1.3 by Matthew Pavkov.

   DB Backup now works again, but at the cost of not being able to have the firewall plugin activated. Lesser of two evils!
