BackWPup Free - WordPress Backup Plugin
[resolved] Day dropdown for weekly is 1 day out (10 posts)

I discovered this plugin after becoming frustrated with the inflexibility of BackupWordPress and UpdraftPlus, and I like it.

I found one problem: if you set a job to a weekly schedule, selecting Monday means the job will run on Sunday, selecting Tuesday means the job will run on Monday, etc etc.

    Can that be fixed? Thanks!

Correction. This weekday problem occurs on one of my servers but not the other.

I guess there's some PHP setting somewhere that the plugin relies on when it should perhaps do its own calculation instead.

    Ha! And a related issue:

On the jobs page, the next scheduled time is shown correctly.

On the dashboard page, the time is incorrectly shown as an hour later.

    Hi ZigPress,

please go to your BackWPup Settings page. What does it say at "Blog Time", "Blog Timezone" and "Blog Time offset"?

    Server Time 17:22
    Blog Time 17:22
    Blog Timezone Europe/Rome
    Blog Time offset 1 hours

The server is in the UK, and the site is aimed at a European audience (i.e. the Rome timezone is correct).

Also, in my theme I have:
    date_default_timezone_set("Europe/Malta");

Malta is in the same timezone as Rome.

    Does this help?

In fact the "wrong day" issue doesn't seem reproducible and may be down to slow JavaScript - but the incorrect time issue (my 3rd post) still stands.

    Hi,
I have the opposite problem... ;)
When I set the weekly run to be on Monday, the next run is set to Tuesday and so on.
The selected day of the weeks is X and the next run is X+1.
I used the latest version of WP and this plugin.
I hope the fix will solve this one as well.
    Thanks.
