I’ve tried disabling various plugins, but the problem is still happening.

I have to go in daily to back date my oldest articles to their original posting date.

Really wish I could find a solution.

I am also having same problem but no clue how or why it is happening. Yes, i have also note this only in 2011.

If anyone else having similar experience or know why it happens, please share here.

    Thanks.

In a way, it’s nice to know I’m not the only person with the problem.

Just wish I could find a solution.

Do you use SEO Search plugin on your site?

    Thread Starter Peter

    (@psundstrom)

No I don’t use SEO Search plugin.

Let’s compare configurations and see if we can find anything in common between the two.

    Hosting Provider: Hostgator
    WP Version: 3.0.4
    Theme: Socrates

    Plugins:

    AddToAny
    Akismet
    All in One SEO pack
    Better Related Content
    Google XML Sitemaps
    MaxBlogPress Ping Optimzer
    Odiogo Listen Button
    Online Backup for WordPress
    Pretty Link
    Quick Cache
    SEO SearchTerms Tagging 2
    SEO Smart Links
    TincyMCE Advanced
    WordPress.com Stats
    WP-Stats
    wp-Table Rloaded
    WPaudio

In SEO SearchTerms Tagging 2 plugin can you check just above “Save Changes” button you have the option “Promote old post with no search engine traffic:”, is this option selected as “Yes” ?

    (@psundstrom)

Never saw that option. I’ve now turned it off, so hopefully that was the issue.

The plugin must have been updated at the beginning of 2011.

It’s obviously set “on” as the default, which doesn’t seem like a sensible option at all.

Good to know that you located the option. Do update here after few days if the problem is solved.

The “problem” has now been solved (thank goodness).

I can’t believe that option is a default.

    Hi psundstrom,

Since your problem is solved can you please update this post status as “resolved”? This update can be made in the right hand side column.

    Thanks,
    Teacher.

    Our brand-new plugin might help:
