   Any ideas on why the date is not showing on this post or others would be much appreciated.

   Your date is showing after the post, posts by this author and related posts block in this block:

   Wow thanks.

   Somebody said he liked the post,and asked me when it was written. I checked and didn't see the date either.

   It's topical and popular right now,even though it was written back in October, because of the Sotomayor hearings.

   I can obvioulsly add a date at the top of the article itself but is there a way that you know of to get the dates to show at the top or bottom of the article.

   I have the opposite problem on the home (sticky page) where I don't want a date to display. I tried adding

   <?php if (!is_sticky() ) { ?>
   <?php the_time('M jS, Y'); ?>
   <?php }
   ?>

   to the index.php but it didn't work :-(
