• The database behind my blog crashed yesterday. I ran the repair database function through WordPress and it gave me the following unresolved errors:

ig_blog_posts: 1 client is using or hasn’t closed the table properly
ig_blog_comments: 2 clients are using or haven’t closed the table properly
ig_blog_options: Table is marked as crashed
ig_blog_postmeta: 1 client is using or hasn’t closed the table properly
ig_blog_terms: 1 client is using or hasn’t closed the table properly
ig_blog_term_taxonomy: 1 client is using or hasn’t closed the table properly
ig_blog_term_relationships: 1 client is using or hasn’t closed the table properly
ig_blog_commentmeta: 1 client is using or hasn’t closed the table properly

I’ve not come across this before and so I’m totally stumped with regard to what to do next. The blog is up and working again but if anyone can anyone offer any advice on how to resolve the errors above it would be greatly appreciated.

  • Hmm – seems odd. I’d wait it out and see if it goes away. It may also be worthwhile contacting your host; as perhaps it’s an error on their end.
