Database - is there a way to duplicate pages in the database? (5 posts)

I'm new to the database portion of WordPress.

My question is this. On my WordPress site I have multiples pages that are profiles of people. For each profile, there are numerous child pages. Bio, Newsletters, etc.

I'm looking for a shortcut to creating those 5 child pages for each of the 44 profile pages and having to manually create 220 pages.

Can I go into the database, find page A, which has children 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5 and copy those children and "paste" them as children also of page B, C, D, E, F, etc?

Hope that makes sense. Thank you.

To do that, you'll need to learn how to use PHPMyAdmin and write your own SQL queries.

You're better off creating the pages manually; you need to enter different content for each page anyway, right?

    Not for all them.

I'll look into writing sql queries, but I won't get too daring. I'm not going to risk messing it up. :-)

I didn't think to look before, but there's a plugin called Mass Page Maker. And look in this thread, too.

Awesome songdog, I'll take a look at that mass page maker plugin. That looks like it might do the trick.
