How can I edit my php file? I use FileZilla to upload my files, but when I try to edit it in Notepad it’s saved as wp-codex.php.txt…. how can I get it to save as a php file? I tried saving it under “all files” but that’s not changed it. Is there another program I can or should be using? All I need to do is change my server password because I changed it earlier on my hosting site and now I can’t get into my login page. At least this is what I “think” the problem is!

  • You can change the name after the upload. You should be changing config.php not wp-codex.php

    Oh I’m sorry… that’s what I meant. wp-config.php.

Anyway, I got it fixed. My host support went in and fixed the password for me in the file, and now all is working well.

Thanks for your response! I really appreciate it!
