Hello! I’ll do my best to describe my issue here…

I have a website (wordpress install) on a godaddy hosting account.

I changed the primary domain on my account, and the wordpress install under the OLD primary domain is now broken.

According to godaddy support, all of the files have been moved to the right place, as far as they know.

I am getting a “database error” when you go to http://www.thenerdone.com/ which could mean many things that I don’t know how to explain here.

I need help diagnosing the problem and fixing it! I should not have changed the primary domain, it wasn’t really necessary, but what is done is done (I can’t change it back, apparently). Thanks for the help!

It looks like you have managed to fix it now as I don’t see an error

yes, I’ve spent several hours on the phone with godaddy, and after trying three different support people, they finally helped me out. Gonna go ahead and mark this as resolved.

The issue was fixed by manually editing the wp-config.php file to properly reflect the database user and password that had apparently been changed and/or messed up when I changed primary domain names.

    anyway, all good.

Hello,I also have this problem, could you give me help ?

I am now closing this x month old topic as it references an older version of WordPress.
