    Hi,

I got a copy of wordpress installed on my local machine, and of course on my website. I backed up my database from my website, and imported it onto my computer (local host) copy of word press, and now everything I do on my computers version, is automatically updated to my website's version, even though the mysql connection file doesn't even contain the same DB user and pass. How do I fix this?

The URLs of the WP install & blog (the ones seen in the admin > Settings > General) are stored in the database.
If you just imported the live site's DB into your local install without changing those values, then that's your problem.

How can I change the value of that since when I navigate to localhost/wordpress it takes me to mysite/wordpress and can't be found?
