I'm getting a bunch of error messages that all seem to have one thing in common--they all relate to connect errors with the wordpress.org servers. I am self-hosted running WP 3.5 with the Thesis theme; however, I started noticing this before the upgrade. Upgrading to 3.5 didn't fix the problem, and since I've lost access to the plugins page, I can't update those either.
First, when I try to access JetPack stats, I get this message:
"We were unable to get your stats just now. Please reload this page to try again. If this error persists, please contact support. In your report please include the information below.

I thought maybe upgrading JetPack would help, but when I go to the plugins page, I get this error whether I try to browse or search:
"An unexpected error occurred. Something may be wrong with WordPress.org or this server’s configuration. If you continue to have problems, please try the support forums."
also, on the dashboard main page, there are a number of items that no longer load.
For example, under "Incoming Links" there's this message:
"RSS Error: WP HTTP Error: Empty reply from server"
Under "WordPress Blog" there's this error message:
"RSS Error: WP HTTP Error: couldn't connect to host"
Under "Other WordPress News" there's this error message:
"RSS Error: WP HTTP Error: connect() timed out!"
I've confirmed that the URLs in those last three components are valid and load separately in my browser, they just can't load within the WP dashboard.
What can I do to fix this? I've been reading forum posts all morning, but I don't see anyone with a similar problem. Thanks.
