    Hi,

I am not a very experienced WordPress user however I am having problems accessing the back end of my website. Recently I tried to make some changes via the dashboard and the screen to the right is just white. The buttons down the left-hand side still appear however they don't do anything and I can't view any options. For this reason I can't see which version of WordPress I'm using.

I'm really concerned as this is my business website and don't want to lose it. Can anyone suggest anything that might help me get control of my website back. It hasn't effected the live site, just my ability to make adjustments.

Thanks in advance for any feedback.

    J

    Try:
    - switching to the default theme by renaming your current theme's folder inside wp-content/themes and adding "-old" to the end of the folder name using FTP or whatever file management application your host provides.

    - resetting the plugins folder by FTP or phpMyAdmin.

    - re-uploading all files & folders - except the wp-content folder and the wp-config.php & root .htaccess files - from a fresh download of your current version of WordPress. Make sure that you delete the old copies of files & folder before uploading the new ones.
