    Install Wp-Insert 1.7.4

I have now reinstalled the plugin 3 times, and this still hapens everytime I activate it. What I did:
deactivate Wp-Insert, delete from dashboard, then I checked via FTP that the plugin folder is atually really deleted. Then reinstall the plugin via WordPress plugin manager (also tried to just upload through FTP). As soon as I activate it, the left hand menu disapears.

Any tips? I manage all the networks ads with this plugin, and it has proven very handy, so I don’t really want to change it.

This is happening to me as well. Removal & re-installation per:

did not work for me either.

Clear your browser cache and reload the page…

weird, but my usual ctrl+F5 did not make a change, but actually deleting my browsers cache did make it work in the end.

Hi I updated wp-insert to 1.7.4 on one of my sites and gee hasn’t cause me problems….my dashboard has vanished all together, no menu bar or options….does anyone know what to do here….? I’ve been told to delete wp-insert and download ad injection as it is supposed to do similar things…hey but is this answer to problem…..why has this 1.7.4 update deleted my dashboard…..????
I have other sites with the 1.7.4 insert update waiting to be updated but I can tell you I won’t be updating them with this 1.7.4 update….is there a bug or an error with this update…????
    Regards
    Archie.

I will release an update 1.7.5 in a couple of hours for everyone who is too lazy to just press Crtl + F5 or clear their browser cache and restart the browser.

@archiehollows : Do confirm that you have actually cleared your browser cache and restarted the browser…If you or everyone else who is complaining have actually done that they wont be having this issue.

Renaming a CSS file and uploading a new version seem to be a much better option than begging to 30-50 people a day to properly read instructions and act upon them…
Anyone who has updated to version 1.7.4 and properly read and acted upon the instruction will not have the missing sidebar issue..

Or maybe instead of prefixing it with “PS” say “NOTE” – that would probably get more attention, and add the bit about clearing the cache in the same note.

BTW 1.7.4 works fine with WP 3.2.1 (once I cleared my cache):)
