    When I log on to my site as admin, my dashboard drop down menu features only the profile page and nothing else, rendering the upkeep and building of this site inoperable.

    the only way to know if you have admin privileges is to look in database and see what you are set as.

    Thank you for the response. I know I am the administrator. How do I get into the database and recover my log in information?

    @sgn

    phpMyAdmin is a different application and is not a part of WordPress. You have to install phpMyAdmin separately (or use the one provided by your hosting provider) to access it.

    Did you lose your administrator account?

    The wp-admin pages are used by both administrators and users. Users don't get all of the functionality that administrators do.

    I might have forgotten my admin login info. The site has been idle for a while. How can I get that back?
