[resolved] Dashboard not working on Mac 10.6.8 using Firefox/Safari/or Chrome (8 posts)

    Hi,

Dashboard is working erratically with themes and uploads. I've tried different themes including twenty eleven. Regardless, I am unable to upload media -- button and links don't work. Widgets won't drag and drop. And buttons in other sections don't work. Have been also unable to save theme settings.

Am using Macbook Pro running OS 10.6.8 and tried Firefox/Safari/or Chrome.

    I have variously:
    updated and deactivated any plugins.
    reinstalled wp 3.4.2
    tried different themes.

Not having luck getting WP to work for me.

In the past with earlier versions of WP have worked successfully with dashboard on this computer including dragging widgets, uploading files, and saving theme settings.

Any other suggestions to make dashboard work?

additionally sliders and color picker are not working.

BTW, am currently trying to get Iconik theme up and previously used Carta, both from themeforest.

Have you actually tried other computers? Try changing to twentyeleven and see if you have the same problems on the problem computer.

thanks. twenty eleven seems to work better. Was able to use upload a picture using background option but media upload doesn't work. widgets still won't drag and drop. Color picker still doesn't work. Will try opening windows in bootcamp to see how that goes.

No real difference apparent on windows xp using firefox.

BTW, I also tried clearing the cache on all browsers.

Do you have any plug-ins running?

    Where is your site hosted?

SOLVED!! Issue was related to other threads about broken visual editor. Resolved by installing "add google libraries" plugin.
