When I click on Dashboard from admin user the link is:
http://example.com/blog/wp-admin/index.php
and it works just fine.
However, the dashboard link from my newly created editor user is invalid so it goes to the site (not the wordpress) 404 page. Properties tells me that this link is
http://example.com/blog/wp-admin/admin.php?page=index.php
How do I get the same, correct link for the editor user as for the main user?
It seems that the premalinks are not working for the editor user.
Thanks very much.

Hello,
I got the same problem a few days ago. Maybe we played around with the same faulty plugin.
Anyways, I fix the problem by installing a plugin that enhanced the dashboad dropdown menu by another link. And all of the sudden the buggy link was also fixed.
Try and install this:

it's a very useful diagnosis tool from

I hope this will work for you, too.
