I want to remove/hide some stuff on the dashboard from members, but there doesn't seem to be any plugins for it.

The first thing I want to do is change the posts section. I will have a number of members and all of them will be able to post. I can stop members editing/deleting other members posts, but I don't want them to be able to see anyone elses through the dashboard, only their own. I need to be able to hide the other posts so they can't view them that way.

The second thing is that I also want to remove/hide the tools option on the dashboard from my members.

    How can I do this?

    Thanks.

The tools part is easy, you can remove the original menu item, then add it back with a different capability required to view it. See Administration Menus

The posts table is a different story, I don't see any hooks that would work to do what you want. If I'm correct, the only way to achieve this is to extend the posts lists table and programming in the function you want, then removing the default page from the menu and replacing it with your extended version.

Note this does not stop someone from typing in the url of the original table and viewing all posts.
