    Hi!

I'm having a hard time with my WP dashboard. After logging in WP, it take ages to the dashboard appears, but once the page has loaded, it's empty - only the menu options appears.

Here is what it looks like:

This was happening since version 2.9.1. I have upgraded to version 3.0.1, with no changes - in fact, it got worst. While in 2.9.1, some content appeard, although in a very different layout and with some components missing.

After the upgrade to 3.0.1, nothing got better. I still am able to post, to edit and to use all the functions on WP, but the dashboard is not working. The other areas are 100% fine.

I looked in the Forum posts, and saw many related problems that usually have to do with Plugins. I didn't have ANY plugin activeted. Anyway, I tried to delete all plugins just to narrow the possible problems. It hadn't changed a bit, I still have the same problem.

I don't use any template, I have designed my own template and it worked fine. But suddenly this crazy dashboard behavior.

    This is the site: http://www.feiramoderna.net

I have other WP running in http://www.oficinamiriade.com and it doesn't have any problem. This WP is still in 2.9.1, and I don't feel like upgrading untill I solve the problem with the other one.

    Any clues?

    Thanks for any help!

    have you tried:

-temporarily switching to the default theme to rule out any theme-specific issue.

If you don't have access to your admin area, then access your server via FTP or SFTP.

-if that does not resolve the issue, try increasing memory available for php.

    t-p, thanks for your reply.

In fact, I think the problem was with my spam-comments. After I started this thread, I kept trying to solve the problem. Looking further, I realized I had more than 10 thousands of comments marked as spam!!

I NEVER had deleted the comments marked as spam, so they were kept in the system. Once I deleted them, it seems to be everything right again. The dashboard is back, and its not taking a long time to load after I log in.

I didn't had to switch to the default theme or change the memory setting as you suggested. But I really appreciate your inputs!

    Thanks again!
