[resolved] Dashboard background color missing (5 posts)

My Dashboard is missing a background? And it only just happened -- it was fully functional and looked fine about an hour ago. And after some sleuthing, I discovered it only looks this way in Chrome. It really wouldn't be a huge nuisance, except everything is transparent, and it makes reading the text on the drop down menus difficult when it lays over other text. I'm attaching an image of how it looks right now in Chrome.

Any ideas on why this is happening? I have never made changes to the site's backend.

    Have you tried:

    - deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem. If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

    - switching to the Twenty Eleven theme to rule out any theme-specific problems.

    - resetting the plugins folder by FTP or PhpMyAdmin. Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.

    - re-uploading all files & folders - except the wp-content folder - from a fresh download of WordPress.

I did try resetting the plugins folder/deactivating the plugins per the suggestions of other related dashboard issues :/

I haven't tried switching to the Twenty Eleven theme yet or re-uploading all the files and olders, so I'll try that out next. However, I can't imagine the theme suddenly breaking the dashboard?

    Thanks for the reply

Themes can, and sometimes do, break the WP dashboard.

I began playing with different browsers and computers before I went through the hassle of re-uploading the theme files, and it was literally only showing up that way on that one computer in Google Chrome, sooo I'm assuming it had something to do with that browser. Probably something trivial like clearing the cookies or something. Thanks for the input!
