Dashboard and Costs

    Hi there

    I have a wp.com blog, and I want to convert it to wp.org. I want to know:

    1. Are the Dashboards and workings similar between the 2?
    2. I know I have to download the software, and upload it to my own server. But are there any other costs for the basic running of a wp.org blog?

    Dashbords are very similar. With .org you can have dozens of plugins and themes and ads etc.

    Domain name – $1.99 to $7.95
    Good hosting – $3.99 to $7.95 monthly
    There are free hosts that work but have some issues such as slowness and downtime.
