Hello – I have a new domain name and wordpress download (3.5.1)

The dashboard has a strange, transparent appearance to it. I contacted my webhost to upgrade my php memory limit but the appearance still remains strange.

    Any ideas?

I found some old threads from 2010 to say it could be malware… but is that still likely? I can’t find anything else relevant on the topic. Thank you.

Also I deleted all the files off the server, downloaded a new copy of wordpress and reinstalled it but there is no change.

That’s an odd one. Have you tried

    – deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem. If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

    – switching to the Twenty Twelve theme to rule out any theme-specific problems.

resetting the plugins folder by FTP or PhpMyAdmin. Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.

Once you’ve done that clear your browser’s cache and cookies and re-login to your WordPress dashboard and see if the problem persists.

Hi thanks for replying, it was brand new, not even any plugins activated yet so. I tried deleting and reinstalling again and that seems to have fixed it, for reasons unknown. Thanks!
