    Hello
I am brand new to wordpress. I would like to have my users be able to add posts not just comments. I have set the permissions to allow authoring which I assume is correct. Is there any way to simplify the look of the dash board so when they arrive there, there is only a place to post there stuff and none of the other wordpress updates and so on. It's quite confusing if they're new. Do they have to go to the dash board at all to add a post? Is there an easy way for me to accomplish this?
What solution would be best to allow all users to post as well as comment

Yes, they have to go to the dashboard pretty much to make a post.

There are some ways you can hide things from the users:

There are also plugins that will remove certain things if you don't want to dig into the code.

Make sure you also assign the proper roles to users:

Thanks I found the plugin "Adminimize" it worked perfectly. It allowed me to do pretty much what I wanted to the dashboard. Nice job to the developer!
