    DAS switching Themes for approval?

This is an idea for a next phase in design approval.

Going to the next step is not showing only pictures of a design, but getting a ready made mockup of a theme approved with DAS!

The idea is to show off a specific mocked-up theme (or two) made for the client to be able to show the behavior of buttons, slides, positions of text and so on, to get a better understanding for the client in the design approval process and get it approved much quicker.

Let’s say, this step would be phase two of a design approval process. Step one could still be to show a picture, or let the DAS user decide what he wants to show a pic or a theme.

It’s nice to have the possibility get pictures of a design approved, but a new theme that you can actually click on, with symbolic pictures and buttons and let the client try it a little while we are together on skype showing it off, would be just great. Don’t you think?

Does it make sense to you? Could you wrap your head around this idea?

I think I understand. You want to actually have a live version of the mockup for the client to view after they approve the design mockup?

If that is what you suggest, I think it would be 10 times harder for you to accomplish this because you would have to override so much of your CSS to conform to the existing das template. You could possible do it with an iframe, but that would really limit things as well.

However in you could always add a link to the 2nd version that leads the client to your test site for them, and then they could return with comments etc on that version.

BTW still getting things prepped for the translation. There was a lot more work to be done than anticipated. Hoping to get at least the DAS complete today. I’ll keep you update.
