Damn - I just deleted my http.php file (5 posts)

I've been struggling to upgrade to version 2.8.6 for a couple of days - I always got an error message saying that I'd exhausted my quota of about 30,000,000 bytes (I think) and that it was trying to use about 2,000,000 bytes in the http.php file.

My FileZilla wasn't connecting for some reason - nor my fireftp, so I installed a plugin called myftp, which seemed to solve my problem. I deleted a load of unnecessary files that I thought would free up enough space, but I was still getting the same error message. I then deleted the http.php file to see if that would work, and then I realised that I'd broken it, and there isn't an undo with the myftp plugin.

Does anyone have any advice on what to do next?

you need to upload the files. deleting core wordpress files is going to to do the obvious -- break wordpress.

Thanks. I still have to get FileZilla or FireFTP working, which I've already spent a good few hours on - but I understand that that has nothing to do with this forum, so thanks for the help.
