“Dafault” new user level

    Can anyone tell me what the default level for new user created accounts is? I do not want users to be able to post so I am presumint that the level should be “0”. However, I want them to be able to commen. Will they still be able to comment at a “0” level?

    New Users start at zero.

    Anyone can comment on a blog unless you have taken other measures against that by using plugins / hacks.

    The level for newly created accounts is 0. As for comments, are you using something to enforce comments only from users?

    Since I know very little about this at this point, I cant tell you if I’m “using something” or not beyond the default settings which seem to “hold” comments pending approval by an admin.

    As it stands then, I could register on your blog, but aside from being able to login and see a few basic details (what’s on the user page for instance), I’d be limited in what I could see / do.

    I could comment freely though.
