I have the same problem. Trying to solve it.

For me, it was the WordPress Seo plugin. Deactivated it and it works perfectly again.

    lwzeadie,

that solves the problem but i need wordpress seo plugin.

    Is there another solution?

WordPress SEO issued an update that fixes the issue. I reactivated it, and I can insert links/images again.

    Hi Guys,

Any updates on this? I de-activated the plugin and it fixes the issue, so definately a problem with the plugin.

I’ve updated the plugin to 0.4.2 and it hasn’t fixed the problem?

I’m having this problem too. All the wysiwyg buttons on the Visual tab are blank. This is happening on two different sites (WP 3.2.1) with different active themes (one uses default TwentyTen). I turned off all plugins, one both sites — but buttons still blank. The buttons work, except for the LINK button, which throws the “c.wpdialog is not a function” error. I’m not certain when the buttons went blank — that is, with which WP upgrade. My authors typically use the HTML tab.

Anyone found a solution? I found a workaround using TinyMCE Advanced, but its a bad option as you can’t use internal linking with the plugin activated.

Must be some kind of a jquery incompatibility…

If noone will find a solution we could only wait for a new WP-Release…

Hey Guys, I am using networks solutions. I was having the same issue. Very frustrating since I am a developer and could not figure out what was going on. If you can access this file on your blog this post will not help you. yoursite/wp-includes/js/tinymce/plugins/media/editor_plugin.js

If you can not access it then it is a file permission issue. Follow these instructions and it should work.

    http://www.networksolutions.com/support/resetting-file-permissions/

I realize this is a very spefic issue and setup but thought I would put it on here just in case.

Good luck to those who still have the issue…
