Customizing my slideshow
-
I am a freelance photographer and I started a website as a way of showing my portfolio. I have tried a number of plugins, but I cannot get them to do exactly what I want. It’s always certain elements of each one that I like, but never totally.
My website is http://www.tinaleggiophotography.com/ I have a few slideshows up now, but I’m not happy with them. I really like the way the slideshow on http://erickimphotography.com/ is set up. That is exactly what I want. I want the slideshow not open up in a new window, with the direction arrows, number of images and thumbnails of the images on the bottom, the thumbnails to be responsive if you don’t want to browse through the entire window and for it to have a fade effect. I have looked through countless pages of different types of plug ins but none of them seem to have all the elements I’m looking for. I can attempt to alter the code if need be, but I am a WordPress newbie, so coding is all very new to me. If anyone can help me I would really appreciate it. Thanks in advance!

See if this is what you want: http://mcdstaging.info/resource-equality.org/test-page/
It uses the NextGEN Galleryview plugin.
Not quite, vtxyzzy, but thank you. I’d like for the thumbnails at the bottom to not move. I actually have the NextGEN plug in and it’s similar to what I’d like, but not quite.
What do you want if you have more thumbnails than will fit along the bottom?
You can try: http://wordpress.org/plugins/photo-galleria/
The thumbnails at the bottom will move if you click on the arrows (if you have many images).
I’ll only have about twenty or so pictures for each project. http://erickimphotography.com/ really gives a better view of what I’m going for. I’m talking to a website developer, but I wanted to see if I could do it myself.
Thank you, phe.le. That is similar to what I’m going for as well. I will try it and see how it looks.
If you are willing to pay, you can buy NextGen Pro (Since you’re already using NextGen plugin). It has so many great slideshow options. Check it out.
phe.le thank you so much for recommending photo galleria!!! It was exactly what I was looking for. This had been driving me nuts for weeks.
