    take a look at my blog and tell me if you can figure out what is happening!

    I am using Kubrick as my base template. All I did was change the header image, get rid of the blog name on the pic, and change the color of the page bg color. and now it's all messed up. The "kubrickbgwide.jpg" (content bg)image doesn't seem to load (I didn't change it at all) and the sidebar is pushed to the bottom of the page. The entire page shouldn't be black, just the page bg. I checked around to make sure that all my tags were closed, but I couldn't find anything.

    Sometimes the page loads just fine, then a few minutes later its all messed up even if I havent done anything. Most of the time its just plain messed up. Sometimes it's just the content bg pic at the bottom of the page is misaligned.

    Can anyone make something of this?

    Thanks.

    Pick a theme that is easier to modify. K. is a nightmare for beginners.

    Hmm of course after days of trying to fix this I think I found the answer right after I posted this...I think WP added an extra centering tag in one of my posts that wasnt closed.

    Hmmph!!!

    Please do as moshu said already.. the Default theme is a nightmare for "beginners" to try and modify. Pick another one from here: http://themes.wordpress.net/

    That basically looks like, what you want to begin with. I'd help you, but sadly.. I'm getting tired of it, because after repeatedly helping people with it..they end up changing it anyways later.. It's just time consuming for me, and who I've helped.. sigh.

    Also, alot of these display errors and such will be fixed in the next official release of WordPress.. Not saying, your's there are necessarily display problems by "default"...but, maybe some extra code that you added or whatever.. perhaps.. Good luck with it and what ever else. =)

    Please don't take the above as being rude, just being truthful only, ok. =)

    Hi, here's what I found:
    In your May 15, 2006 post entry titled "i love you" you used a bunch of

    <div align="left">

    if you deleted all those from that post, it might help.
    none of those divs were closed, either, so just try getting rid of them.

    I agree with all the guru/geeks here. I used the skin from Kubrick and blended it with codes for the sidebar from another theme. It was hard knowing exactly how the skin is generated. Codes are everywhere in CSS files, header.php and functions.php....if you are not careful you won't like what you see.

    For beginners, just use the theme and don't touch it. As said before you won't stay with K. for too long anyway.
