   Hi,

   I have almost completely customized theme twentyeleven. Everything was fine until today. The sidebar has mysteriously relocated to the bottom. I searched this phrase and found the codex troubleshooting, went through the list and found nothing. I am not using any posts, everything is static pages. I have check the the HTML in all pages, nothing seems amiss. When I ran the W3C site validator, it did find errors but no way to find them, only a line number but can't tell which page its on.

   Everything was fine until today. I only added an article link on the Press page. After the sidebar moved, I took it off, but the sidebar remained at the bottom. Also, I have cleared caches, restarted browsers all to no avail using Safari, FF and Chrome (latest versions of each).

   All the posts in this forum I found, 'mysteriously' solved themselves. Mine has not. If I missed something, please feel free to slap it back at me. I welcome the help and thank you very much!

   Do not edit the Twenty Eleven theme. It is the default WordPress theme and having access to an unedited version of the theme is vital when dealing with a range of site issues. First create a child theme for your changes.

   double check comments.php (this is where commenting has gone wrong)

   or upload a new copy of comments.php into your theme

   Thanks! I did not create a child theme but do have an original theme version on my local drive. Removing the commenting did the trick! I will go back and create the child theme so I an avoid silly things like this in the future.
