    hi,

    currently 2 problems I have:

    1) " Please fill the required field. " that is the default message --- how or where can I change that to be specific about the actual field that is required?

    2) "Please fill the required field." message is listed two times. 1st at top of form and 2nd time next to the field. I only need it listed by the field... how do I fix that?

    thanks!!!

PS. in my research i found these 2 sites to help with styling :)

Use Messages metabox - # There is a field that the sender must fill in.

thanks buzztone, but I'm not understanding what you said?

let me rephrase my original question:

lets say I have 3 fields input fields
    name
    phone
    email

    I have ALL 3 required.
On the form, you just click submit...nothing is entered.

Right now, the same message is displayed:
"Please fill the required field. "

i would like the message displayed to be:
    Your name is required.
Please enter a valid phone number
    Your email address is required.

    thanks

Sorry - I missed that you wanted a different message on each field.

The CF7 plugin currently only offers a single message for each field, which can be changed in the Messages metabox part of the CF7 interface.

A different message on each field would be a useful addition to the plugin, but I haven't come across a CF7 plugin extension that does that.
