Thanks @photocrati.
I did contact your support team before posting here. Your support team responded telling me:
I’m very sorry, but we are unable to help assist with advanced customization of the plugin.
and then:
I’d suggest posting your coding query to our forums here in case another NextGEN user has made the same customization: http://wordpress.org/support/plugin/nextgen-gallery
So that’s why I’m posting here.
Should I re-contact support?
@holtkampw –

This was an over-sight on our part. These forums are for the support of plugins hosted on the WordPress Plugins repository.
Although (and not recommended as it is not upgrade safe) you can look at the core plugin files to see if there is something in there for you to modify to get the results you are trying to achieve.

Hi holtkampw,
Did you have any luck with modding the CSS?
I’m trying to target/amend ‘data-title’ and ‘data-descripion’ with different styles (as well as reposition/change colour of the overlay box), but have no option with the current iframe code supplied by NextGen.
Thanks
Rob
Hey guys,
Not sure if you got answers, but NextGen basically told me there was nothing I could do to alter the CSS of a pro gallery, since they’re in iFrames. Add it to the list of total nonsense NextGen has gotten flooded with, right? In other words—we all paid for Pro or Plus, but can’t edit them. What “Pro” software MAKES you stick with the defaults???
@gaswirth – Please contact our support team directly with any questions or concerns for NextGEN Pro displays via your member’s area at http://nextgen-gallery.com/
Thanks!

PS: You can create custom templates for all Pro displays if you choose.
