• When you link an image in a post to the image source, the image opens up in a new browser page by itself when you click on it from the post. That’s fine, but I want to be able to customize that landing page to include some advertisements and it’s own specialized look that is different than the rest of my site … any suggestions? Is there some kind of showimage.php file I can create? Thanks to anyone who can help…

  • I would imagine that such an image would use ‘single.php’ or ‘page.php’ so making a significant change to those and trying would tell if that was the fact.

Either of those two pages is just ‘index.php’ with a different name essentially and from there you can create a different layout.

The only problem is that the single.php is used to display my permalinks, so I want my sidebar to be there, whereas on the image page I do not. Also, the page.php is used for things such as my “contact me” page and hence i don’t want to mess with it.

What I want to do with the images is set if up so that if the image is 1200×1600, it’s not restrained by the parameters of my template but, instead, shows the image in full… and if I want to ad an advertising banner over the top of the image, I can do so. Somethiing like this: http://www.egotastic.com/image?path=0602/sophia-bush-glory-road-02.jpg&info=Sophia%20Bush%20Pictures

I am also looking for something similar, i really need it.
