What specifically do you want to change about it?
You can style the look of the calendar using CSS. You might try looking through the default theme’s CSS to see which elements you need to style. I’m pretty sure they’re all labeled with #wp-calendar.
I don’t think there’s an easy way to change the way it’s output though. You’d have to hack some core code to do that.
