Customize admin with user level

Hello,

What I’m trying to get is the following:

-> Customize the admin panel according to which user is connected (author, contributor..). I know a plug-in (Menu Editor) that does just that, but it doesn’t do the whole trick. What I’d like to customize is not only the options of the Admin Panel but also what kind of article/page is posted.

For instance, if the user is a Contributor, I’d like a certain template to be used with his articles, and another if the user is an Author.

I’d also like that certain messages be shown on the homepage of the Admin Panel, depending on the user level.
