    Hello!

They are called permalinks. You can enable them by going into Settings -> Permalinks and enable whichever one looks suitable for your needs. Some recommend you use Post name for SEO purposes.

After you change that go into pages and you can define the individual links for each page.

One quick tip of mine: make sure you have a DB backup before changing the permalinks. I got myself in trouble not doing that once.

    Tell me if that works.

    Thanks for this.

One other question. I found that if I type http://www.vividyorkshire.co.uk/about-us it takes me to the about us page. But when I click the about us link in the menu on the site it takes me to http://www.vividyorkshire.co.uk/?page_id=31 which is the same page.

    Any advice?

So sorry for the late response. That is strange. From your source code it seems as your theme is not compatible with the menu system WordPress 3.0+ has. Nevertheless, it should still work. Try disabling and reenabling the theme and let me know if that works.

iFeature is compatible with the WordPress menu system.
