    I use the Browser uploader.
I published a post, and when I upload a file (usually pictures)
    of this error:
Custom Upload Dir: no post title found. Please *name* and *save* the post draft before uploading.

I use the custom dir to upload when I upload a file,
    be as follows:
    http://www.site.com/wp-content/uploads/post-name/file.png/

    And for this use: %post_name%

    When using the flash uploader, it is true, so that through the year, month and day;
    example:
    http://www.site.com/wp-content/uploads/year/month/day/post-name/file.png/

If using the flash uploader, remove the folders: year/month/day
    i would be right ;D

    someone help?

I don't understand your problem description. But you should try the development version anyway.

The Plugin worked for some days and now I have the same error message:

"Custom Upload Dir: no post title found. Please *name* and *save* the post draft before uploading."

    I use the following presets:
    "/%post_category%/%post_name%"

    When does the problem occur?

    1) creating an article
    2) select the category
    3) write the headline
    4) publish the post
    5) select "insert pictures"
    6) upload some files (f.e. 400x600 px)

    Then the message comes up.

    Any Tips?

    Regards Hans

It's wierd cause many of those cases are "dry runs" which the plugin should filter out and ignore.

I've been travelling for a while so the development version hasn't been published yet, but it's pretty much done and you can try it out. Just make sure you configure the plugin again - it's a pretty big rewrite so your settings wont be preserved.

I had the same issue. After using the plugin without a problem for a year now, I suddenly got the error

Custom Upload Dir: no post title found. Please *name* and *save* the post draft before uploading.

The post name was filled and the post was saved.

I switched to the development version and it worked! When will the development version be released?

I'm not sure. I began putting together new documentation and testing edge-cases (there's *a lot* more possibilities now, with the custom taxonomies and post-types etc) but had to put it away for a while.

The development version seems to be working well, but I assume that's because it doesn't yet display all these new features. I'm hoping to get it done before christmas anyway.
