Same problem here. I’m using Events Manager, which creates a Taxonomy Term for each new Event Category. I see a list of the Event Categories under the Taxonomy Terms tab, I can select them, but it does nothing.

I of course want to list on the side bar all available dates (Event) for a training of a particular kind (Event Category). Without it, this plugin is useless.

Hi, Please create a custom template for one of the Taxonomies as described here: http://wordpress.stackexchange.com/questions/61896/how-to-create-a-custom-template-for-a-custom-taxonomy and then test it again.

Let me know if the sidebar registers on the create custo taxonomy archive file.

We can take it from here.

I.. uh.. I’m sorry have no idea what that is. I read the post but did not understand a word. Could you please be more specific?

The point is: why isn’t it working, if it shows under the Taxonomy Terms tab?

    ok, abandoning the plugin…

rsabbagh: Dwain means you need to create a custom template for the taxonomy you want to use similar to what you would do for custom posts or pages. So in my case, I would need to create taxonomy-products.php as part of my theme. I havent implemented it yet, but I will give it a shot over the next couple days.

Thanks, enigmaverse. I just deleted Woosidebars and installed Content Aware Sidebars, which works just fine with the Taxonomy Terms and everything else…

    Hi all,

If you theme uses the dynamic_sidebar() function and displays a sidebar, by default, on your taxonomy archive screens, WooSidebars works 100%.

The plugin simply overrides which sidebar is being displayed on the given term archive.

The conditions are all present by default. 🙂

    Matty.

The sidebar override meant for only the one category now shows up on all categories except the home page. ??

Woosidebar is only meant for Website Design.

    Appreciate any help.

    Thank you.
