• Hi Guys,

I’m trying to Custom Structure my permalinks and have found the bizare problem whereby I want to save
    http://walking-languedoc.com/blog/%postname%-%post_id%.htm

into the box in question in my Settings, but the software won’t let me. Instead it substitutes:

    /http:/walking-languedoc.com/blog/%postname%-%post_id%.htm

I’ve tried every way to stop it/re-paste/re-type to no avail.

    Why and what to do?

    Thanks,
    B.

  • You are doing it wrong!
You put ONLY permalink structure tags and nothing else in those fields. No http, no domain name, nothing.
Read the docs before doing unknown things…

    Moshu,

I did read the docs you refer to before doing it… and nothing has told me not to put http, nor domain names, into the fields. And all the options suggested under my Settings/Customize Permalink Structure (Default, Day and name, etc.,) all use them.

So, just to be sure, I only need to place:
    %postname%-%post_id%.htm

    Correct?

    Thanks,
