I have been working on this site for years. This is my 3rd iteration of a custom theme that I have modified for my own use. This time around, I was going all out with Web 2.0 as my theme.
Any thoughts or comments?

Very bright and cheery. I like the colors.
I found the headings a bit too chunky for my taste. I think I'd make them about 10% smaller vertically. But that's being picky.
The only thing I thought looked really wrong was the black commas between the white words on the "recent comments" box.
Oh, but it was a bit of a surprise to click on some of the links in the horizontal navigation and to find myself going off-site. I always find that disturbing, and I wonder if you could maybe keep the on-site links together and maybe have some kind of visual separation between those and the off-site links. At the moment they're mixed in together.
Your daughter is lovely, and Lilyth is an inspired choice of name.

Posted 4 years ago #Thanks for the constructive criticism. I agree with the headers being clunky, I wish the PC had font smoothing. View it on a Mac and it is a good size. I normally do not like to design just for Mac, but in this case I made an exception.
I fixed the black commas. Good find.
I added the icons for the site you will be going to from my main header bar. photos - goes to flickr, and links - goes to del.icio.us.

As it happens I was (am) viewing the site on a Mac, but some things are just a question of taste. One person's clunky is another's big and bold. The headers do look good and I was perhaps being picky. It's a very stylish site.
I saw the post on Lilyth's weight. Would you believe my daughter (now 18 months) weighed only 7lb at four months of age! She was adopted and had had a hard time in the first couple of months, with malaria and all kinds of stuff. She's now doing fine. Here she is, looking healthy.

i can make one suggestion -- the link to your awstats. Remove it.
1. no-one cares about that but you
and more importantly,
2. People that publicly make stats available aid and abet referer spammers unknowingly. Thats the primary facilitator for referer spam.

Haecceity, very cute. Was it expensive to adopt? I am interested in adopting someday as well.

It's not cheap to adopt, but it's a good thing to do. There are just so many kids out there who don't have a family...
