I'm having problems creating custom sidebars. I'm trying to make one for the posts page and have created a new sidebar, dragged the widgets I want to use into it and assigned that new sidebar to the page, but that page continues to show only the archives widget. I must be missing a step somewhere, but I cant figure out what I need to do. The site is nhdtc.org and i'm trying to assign the new sidebar to the "News" page.

Does that theme have custom sidebars as a theme option? (Is that the free version of the theme?)

I did create a custom sidebar for the fixed home page and that worked just fine,

I don't see page-specific sidebars on the theme - I do see template-specific - but that's not the same thing. You CAN use a plugin to make page-specific though - here's one:

But I could be missing something - so you might want to check on the theme's dedicated forum here:

Thanks, I guess I'm confused about template versus page-specific sidebars. I'll go back and look at it again and also try the plugin. Thanks for your help.
