Custom roles/permissions problem (2 posts)

I am using User Role Editor, While label CMS to set custom roles for user types.

However, I am not getting the level of control I need.

I am using WP Ecommerce and can't allow Editors to view the sales stats in Dashboard or the main store settings under Settings. All they can see is Products (add products, categories, etc.).

Anyone know how to set permissions for any admin menu item you want? Have tried every plugin almost and none seem to give you granular control like this. Has to be a solution somewhere.

    Thanks in advance.

Ok, solved my own problem. Thanks for all the helpful and insightful replies though. (insert sarcasm here)

Here is an awesome method to create very custom roles.

    Install these plugins:
    - user role editor
    - adminimizer

In user role editor, give multiple or targeted role all permissions. The reason here is that you must grant the permission before you can turn it off in next step.

Then go into adminimizer and disable items one by one for granular control.

In my case, I had to create a secondary admin called Administrator2 in user role editor, then assign my client as Admin, then turn off menu items for Admin.

There are a few items, like WP easy seo, that do not show up for some reason, but this worked well for me.
