Custom Role Cant Add Multiple Roles

    I’ve created a custom role named manage_users (in code as i have found no way to apply capabilities with URE). Custom role can do everything an administrator can do except there is no ‘Other Roles’ link in user profile like there is for administrators.

    Is this by design? I’m hoping it some capability that i missed.

    Yes, it is by design. Only user with ‘Administrator’ role may use ‘User Role Editor’ by default. “Other Roles” link is a part of “User Role Editor” and requires the same permissions.

    Thanks Vladmir. Understood. I know it is how you designed it, but it would be a nice feature. If i have the time, i’ll give it a go, and hopefully remember to post back here.

    Is there any way to allow such a role (ie. manage_users) to use URE? This would be very helpful to me. Can I create a custom capability to enable the manage_users role to use URE and “Other Roles” ?
