I have 5 custom post types all of them worked but at some point one of them stop calling it’s single template file and started calling the index template.

So instead of my “layouts” custom post type using single-layouts.php file it is using the index.php file. It will call my archive-layouts.php file when on the archive page, just not the single-layouts.php. All my other post types are working just fine.

I thought this might be caused by changes I had made to my functions.php file but I removed everything I had added but that didn’t make a difference. The code for my functions file is below, I just can’t see what could cause this problem.

I thought maybe it might be a plug-in so I just deactivated all of them but the single layouts page is still using the index template. Which btw does not display anything having to do with the content trying to be viewed so this is more than an inconvenience. I can’t even access the content or the comments. I just don’t understand why this might happen.

Sorry I forgot about pastbin. The code for my functions.php is here: http://pastebin.com/YfYMRcUa

Solved it myself. I was using the same slug for my layouts custom post type and my creators custom category. Changed one of them and reset the permalinks and that fixed it.
