Custom post type for Events putting the date into a jquery calendar

    I have a custom post type for events. I don’t want to use a plugin because the custom post type gives me access to so much control over the event. My issue is somehow plugging the event date into a calendar? Any ideas? Jquery would be nice to use… thoughts?
