Custom post form

    Hi

    I’m wondering if it is at all possible to expand the scope of wordpress to add a custom type of post, with a custom input form. For example if I wanted to post a discogrpahy, with some custom fields. Can this be done?

    Yes – by using the custom fields area on your “write post” page.

    The custom fields section is nice but what if I have a special set of fields that I want to enforce every author to fill out?

    I’d like to be able to make the fields show up when creating a new post and make sure they are filled out.
