Hi all,
my problem with permalinks is that I want to migrate an existing site and don't want to loose current ones. Currently the site is using url's like this ones:
http://domain.tld/archives/category_name
http://domain.tld/archives/%year%/%monthnum%/%postname%/
I've played with wordpress permalinks settings with no luck, the category permalinks works, but any other permalink returns a 404 error.
Any help to resolve this.
Thanks in advance
Maybe this is what you want?

Thanks for the resource, i've modified it a bit for my needs and works really well.
I'm only wishes wordpress handled permalinks in a less restrictive way like others publishing plataforms i've used.
thanks again

Hi everyone, I was just wondering if anyone would know how to get rid of category out of the link name all together for seo reasons. ex: I have a nav bar where categories are listed and when I put in /%postname%? in the permalinks these show up as http://focusedonprosperity.com/category/personal-development/ ect. I want to keep my nav bar but just wondered is it possible to change these links so they just go to http://www.focusedonprosperity.com/personal-development and have posts listed on this page.
Not sure if I am making sense at all, hard to explain.
Thanks
Sonya
