   I am installing new 2.7.1 and noticed some bug...
   I am using custom permalink /%tag%/%postname%

   The %tag% does not seem to parse out... In the link it shows it verbatim.
   The link for the test post Hello word becomes:
   http://alexaustin.info/%tag%/hello-world

   I am at loss of words.

   Plz check alexaustin.info and tell me what do you think regarding the problem... I have a test setup there.

   I know that this choice of permalink is not a good one, this is just for a test before I do the full setup.

   I too am getting this error in WP 2.8+, running Apache on LAMP and WAMP environments
