I have a client who wants to allow partners to set there own logo and theme on his wp install so they can have a link like http://www.abcblog.com/partner1 and it shows a different theme than the main site http://www.abcblog.com
Does anyone know of a way to do this where they can upload there own logo and pick their theme?

I tired Virtual theme plugin but it does not work well and does not allow you to edit the theme.
Maybe I need to look at this from a different way.

Are you aware of the WordPress multisite feature? Your client would need to upload the theme as the network admin, but he can then make it available across the network.
If you install a framework, like the Howling Dog Themes framework, your client's partners will be able to edit colors, fonts etc through the K9 control panel and only have it effect their theme.
Disclaimer, I am a co-owner of HDT and use it here just as an example of a way this could be done.

I have looked at multisite but was not sure that was the correct approach.
Each site would then be editable by the partners.

Each site wouldn't be editable by every partner only their own "site(s)" would be editable by them, similar to how each blog at WordPress.com is only editable by the blog owner.
